High quality insights in the Dutch Pharma market!

Spot-On Insights has exclusively partnered with the Dutch Foundation for Pharmaceutical Statistics (SFK) to deliver market and patient insights for pharmaceutical companies in the Netherlands. SFK directly gathers its data from more than 98% of the community pharmacies in the Netherlands.

The pharmacies of the panel serve about 15.8 million people, dispensing drugs or medical aids some 240 million times per year. For each dispensation, the SFK registers information about the drug supplied, the dispensing pharmacy, the health insurance company that does or does not reimburse the remedy, the prescribing doctor and the patient for whom the prescription was issued. With this, the SFK has the most elaborate collection of data in this field in the Netherlands.

For pharma companies this means Spot-On Insights can deliver excellent and highly reliable data on the relevant market of any pharmacy delivered product including many hospital products when dispensed by the out-patient pharmacy (poli-apotheek). All data is sell-out data covering the total market.

THREE MAIN TYPES OF INSIGHTS CAN BE CREATED:

1.     Marketdata

  • in volume (packs, counting units, value)
  • in value (@pharmacy purchase price –AIP)
  • in patients

2.     Patient-influx data. A proxy of dynamic data based on the first-dispense declaration.

3.     Source of business analysis looking into naive, switch and repeat behavior. These are bespoke analysis where we work closely with the client to define the business rules.

OTHER TYPES OF ANALYSES ARE:

  • patient-journeys analysing treatment lines or order
  • therapy persistence and/or treatment duration analysis
  • treatment regimen analysis (combinations of drugs)
  • sequential treatment lines
